Museum Tour: Meet the Residents

Selected date

Wednesday July 6

Selected time

12:30 PM  –  1:15 PM

KTM&HC offers two different tour experiences:

Meet the Residents: A museum interpreter will lead you through the museum's period rooms and share stories of former residents: from the home’s original colonial-era builders, Benjamin and Sarah Hoyt; to tavern founders Timothy and Esther Keeler; to 19th-century residents Phillis DuBois and two generations of the Resseguie family; and, finally, to Cass and Julia Gilbert, who transformed the colonial-era property into a 20th-century summer residence with modern amenities.

War at Home: A museum interpreter shares the experiences of the residents of our site during the Battle of Ridgefield, Connecticut’s only inland Revolutionary War battle, on April 27, 1777. Learn about how the members of the Keeler household navigated community division and the war’s impact on families, and discuss how we remember the events today.

Tickets include access to grounds and 45-minute guided museum tour.

Due to our small historic rooms, tours are capped at 8 people.
Masks are currently optional in all spaces on our site; masks are available in the Visitor Center.

KTM&HC Members: Please remember to log in in order to claim your membership discounts when booking tours OR apply the discount code listed on your membership card at check-out. More information about Membership and Membership benefits can be found here
